hump day hellos

oh finally…it’s hump day…the week is half over, even more so for me. i’m taking friday off, woot woot! i’m going to a yard sale with bec and then i have a meeting at the school in the afternoon.

the nie nie’s

there is a beautiful family from arizona who have recently had their entire world turned upside down.

on august 16th, stephanie (nie nie) and her husband christian were traveling in a small plane from new mexico back to their home in mesa, arizona. shortly after take-off in eastern arizona, the plane crashed. there were three people on board: stephanie, christian and his flight instructor, doug kinneard. (stephanie had given christian flight lessons for his birthday because he’d always been interested in flying. they had often taken their kids up since he got his pilots license, but they were not with them at the time of the crash, thank goodness.) stephanie sustained burns on over 80% of her body. christian sustained burns on over 30% of his body. the flight instructor did not survive. the young couple remains in critical condition at maricopa burn center.

**monday…monday**

i had a FAB weekend!!! saturday i actually got to stay home all day long! and i loved every second of it. i cleaned most of the day…cooked my potato chowder…and bread bowls…went for a 4 wheeler ride AND had movie night with the fam. it was a totally perfect day. after the kids went to bed i had a little me time for some scrapping.
yesterday was mostly all spent at home except for a football game in the evening. joeys team won again this week 14 – 0. jade did a fantastic job cheering. no matter where you sit in the stands you can hear her yelling the cheers. she cheers the entire game and doesn’t grump one single bit.
i had a chance to play with my fab technicolor postcards kit, the debut kit might i add. i had such fun with it, totally loved it.
this is an alfred hitchcock quote, i felt it appropriate as the kit was inspired by him.
this one is kinda hard to see as it’s on white cardstock…i am just in LOVE with the postcards that came with this kit! in the layout above, the girl was cut out of the postcard. and the postcard in the center of the layout below also came with the kit.this one didn’t turn out how i had it pictured in my mind but i still like it. and how flippin cool is the journaling card with the bird on it?!?!
and this little frame, one of my fav works from the kit. it’s a vintage frame and it was just delish. i knew i wanted to showcase it without using it on a lo. i paired it up with some of the vintage jewelry that came with the kit and also the custom bird overlay from the kit. total love!if you want to check the kit out…go here
