…weekend full of ♥…

our weekend was sooooo full of things i ♥…friday night we staid in, ordered pizza and just had family movie night…we watched The Haunting in Connecticut and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor ..and we ordered our FAV pizza from the central hotel…the haunting in connecticut wasn’t THAT freaky and scary, i’ve seen way way worse…the mummy, ah, i could take it or leave it…i actually didn’t pay that much attention to it, i was busy crafting during it…

saturday we got up and did a little cleaning then headed out to camp…we spent the afternoon out there, hanging out and cooking dinner on the fire…we had hotdogs, beans and potatoes…joey took his 4-wheeler out and spent basically 7 hours riding through mud holes…by the time he came home he was just COVERED in mud…but he had fun! saturday evening we kinda hung out at home watching tv…

sunday we went to the fair to enjoy free day…we really love not only that it’s free but the animals don’t stink yet…we always see lots of people we know and you know i looooooove to talk…saw a friend there i haven’t seen for quite a while and made plans to go to a donna downey class in december, should be fun…i didn’t eat much at all there, it was crazy expensive and nothing really looked good to me…the kids, on the other hand, wanted one of everything lol…

tonight we are heading to the fair parade…i already put our chairs out last evening…it should be a BLAST as there is a big group of us going…and i just love to people watch! i have my camera with me, just incase there are some “photo opps” like at the last parade, lol…

happy little projects…

friday night i was just CRAVING some crafty…i knew i HAD to make something that night…i settled on these projects recycling t-shirts…
i made some bracelets and necklaces from t-shirt sleeves…so love these and have wore them everyday since…the color options are endless!!! and miss jade, yeah she kinda loves them too…
this is a bag i made from an old t-shirt of joeys, duct tape and a stapler. yep, a no-sew bag! love it love it…it would be perfect to carry groceries in…or just use as a little tote…i have it jam packed full and with me today…i’m also collecting more old t-shirts for a future BIG project…i have about 17 shirts right now but i need more, 10 – 15 more…i’m looking for just old random cool shirts, vintage or whatever…so if any of ya’all that live around here have some stored up in the attic i would be more than happy to take them off your hands!!!

friday…i LOVE you!!!

it’s friday…a lovely friday, even though it’s rained nearly all day. why is it lovely? oooohhhhh…i can SO FEEL my art room calling to me…begging me to get paint all over my hands…telling me my ink bottles are lonely…screaming that my luscious paper needs love…and guess what? oh yeah, i’m answering that call TONIGHT! i’m hoping for one of those “up until 2 a.m.” creative nights. i so so so miss those nights. i’m also feeling some strange pulling to felt and hand stitching. i might see what i can do with that tonight too. AND i have an awesome COOL-AS-CAN-BE project going on with old t-shirts!!! can’t wait to share that one. oohhhhh artsy mama is back, YES!

this is a pic miss jade took of me last sunday during our photoshoot…i’m about halfway through my weight loss journey. it seems like it’s going slow BUT i think it’s important to do it slowly so that it stays off. i haven’t really talked about it much here, i think because i’m afraid i’ll fail if i talk about it outloud too much. strange, i know…
on the subject of big brother…let me mention again just how much i CANT STAND ronnie or jessie. and honestly, i just can’t help yelling at the tv. i know, they can’t hear me, but still…i have hopes that one of them are the next to go…

tonight is family movie and pizza night…WOOT…and tomorrow we are heading to camp in the afternoon and hanging out there the rest of the day…LOTS of family time this weekend!!!
