~i so ♥ you friday~

ahhhh friday…i love you so!  especially when i have a big ole’ 3 day weekend coming up…sweet!  we are planning on a fun filled weekend…tomorrow we are taking the kids on a surprise trip to waldameer park (thanks to some pretty awesome friends)…sunday after church we are having stuffed peppers (my FAV) and hanging out at home, possibly going to a benefit race…monday has NO plans yet, maybe a little 4-wheeler riding with a picnic…can’t WAIT!!!
joe and i made a pretty big decision this week…one that i never saw coming.  it’s nothing bad so don’t worry.  i’m just kinda shocked at how mature and grown up we were in making this decision.  i’ve prayed on it for a week just to make sure it was the right now.  just keep us in your prayers as i’m not sure what the future holds with it.  hopefully it’s all 100% positive BUT you never know.
well so far the punks are liking school, can you even imagine?  of course though, we are still very early into the year and things can change quickly.  joey is adjusting to high school pretty well, although we sitll have to work on the “carrying a backpack” thing.  for the past two nights his papers have came home folded into a tiny square and stuffed into his pocket…turns out the mama isn’t too into that.
joeys game went well the other night and i have TONS of pictures to upload…but, if you can believe this, i keep forgetting to bring my camera in with me to upload them.  i know, crazy huh…

a couple years ago i had one of the most trying times of my life…when joe left.  suddenly i felt so alone, with two kids to tend to daily, a house to take care of, working full time…i was stressed beyond stressed.  some days i felt so low, not even quite sure how i was functioning. 

there was one certain night when i was really down, almost at my breaking point…i went up on a hill in the middle of the woods…the sky was covered with stars and i could see for miles around.  i popped in a cd of hymns, sang along, cried my eyes out and talked to God for hours on end.  when i left the hill that night i had something new…HOPE…hope in the Lord restoring my marriage in HIS time. 

the Lord knew i had a few “life lessons” to learn along the way…such as patience and perseverance.  and realizing this happen in his time, not mine.  also during this time both of my children got saved, which was a total blessing. 

three months later the Lord restored my marriage and joe returned to us…He has blessed us with a stronger marriage than i ever could have imagined before!!!

first day…

so today was the first day of school.  i cannot believe my boy is in 7th grade…which means he is up in the high school now (we don’t have a middle school).  he’s been on my mind all morning, i hope he’s doing well.  he was kinda nervous about today. 
miss jade is now in 5th grade and is determined to do her best this year.  seems her dad told her if she did well this year then she would get a cell phone.  thats all i need, TWO kids with cell phones!  she was really excited to go today and wear her new clothes, especially her “becky bones”…she told me once she has worn all her new clothes then she won’t be excited for school anymore, lol…
i am just in absolute LOVE with jades bag…we bought it from wonky rocket on etsy.  it’s called “a wonky owl named judith”…so love it.  and if she ever gets tired of it i’m totally claiming it!
joey has his first scrimmage tonight at 5…i’m sooooo excited for it but totally nervous.  it’s a lot different than peewee.  please say a prayer for him and all the kids playing, for their safety.  you know OF COURSE i’ll be taking pics and loading them on here tomorrow.
