♥ harmony truck pulls ♥

so i basically wait for these truck pulls all year long…and i love them more than you know. the pulls friday night were all i hoped for…lots of broken tyrods, some clutches went and lots of hopping. one guy forgot to take the slack out of the chain before he pulled (someone always does this). good times were had by all!!!

it was SUCH a gorgeous night…basically THE only day last week it didn’t rain.  it sure gets cold up there though…
aaahhhhh yes…black smoke out of the stacks…you have no idea how much i love this…
this was one sweet truck (for a ford)…the flame paint job on it was awesome…

hello new week…

sooooo after my fun little mini vaca i will have a ton of posts and such going on here on my little bloggie today.  yay!!!

first of all i’ve updated the gypsy tree blog with pictures from photo sessions!!!  this saturday kerri and i are going to shoot a wedding together and i am SO super excited!!!

next…joey’s foot is indeed broken.  we got the cast put on wednesday.  we were all bummed BUT it’s best to get that taken care of now so that he doesn’t have problems later on.  we also found out that last year when jade fell on his foot (and we saw dr. bell) it WAS broken.  so needless to say i wasn’t very happy learning he played all last football season on a broken foot!  thinking back i should have maybe argued with dr. bell (who was a complete jerk idiot to us) a little bit more.  stupid doctors…

papa came down on wednesday and got to spend a super nice long weekend with us.  we all had such a great time, especially the kids.  they really miss their papa in between his visits and our visits.  so we all really enjoyed our 5 days with papa!!!

thursday we went to joeys game, even though he couldn’t play we all (including him) still wanted to support his team.  poor little guy stood with crutches on the sidelines for over 2 hours watching both games.  i felt so bad for him…

friday both kids played hookie from school and enjoyed a full day with papa and us.  we went to walmart, had chinese, went to THE store, hung out some, jade and ryan went to the homecoming parade and joe, joey, papa and i went to the truck pulls.  i do have pics and will put that in a seperate post totally devoted to the truck pulls…

saturday we staid in as it was raining like crazy here!  later in the afternoon joe and i had our date night…and it was all i hoped it would be!  outback + mall + shopping +  movie store = BLISS!!!  i just so love connecting with that man…

sunday we went to church, had an awesome lunch (lasagna and ranch bread for papa…his favorite) and then the best news of all…the game was cancelled and we got to spend all day at home!  we had a movie day and watched mirrors and the new fast and the furious movie (which had THE sweetest 1970 dodge charger in it)…

today is back to work, school and papa is on his way back to ny…we wont see him again until christmas, which is sad.  we all so totally miss when he lived down here by us 🙁

happy with a touch of sad…

today i’m totally excited that it’s wednesday…i’m off the entire rest of the week!!!  how awesome is THAT?!?!  oh yes, it rocks.  i’m a pretty lucky girl…

but along with todays happiness is a touch of sad…we take joey to the dr at 12 today to review his foot xrays and possibly get his cast put on.  if the foot is indeed broken then football season will be done for him.  i just feel horrible because he is so heart broken.  he has been practicing every week since the beginning of july and hadn’t missed a single practice until monday when he fell.  he just has this sad look on his face all the time and it’s breaking my heart.  i wish i could do something but sadly i can’t.  all i can do is support him and be there for him.  there is still a small shred of hope that it might not be broken…please say a prayer for him today.

friday night we are going to have a big night out at the HARMONY TRUCK PULLS…oh heck yes, ya’all know i wait for this night all year long!!!  i have not missed the truck pulls (except when they were rained out) for about 15 years. every year, faithfully, I am there at 6 when the gates open. i get my GOOD SEAT (which is completely necessary to view the truck pulls) and then we go grab something to eat. and the food at the fair, gosh, it is amazingly good. the air is crisp, the food is good, the trucks are loud….what could be better?!?! love me a full size dodge diesel with stacks ::sigh:: LOVE LOVE that truck!!! Gotta have some redneck in ya to love these pulls.  this year i’m taking my camera for some serious truck lovin’…here are some pics from years past…
