weekend recap…

friday night i spent an aweosme, much needed night totally at home with my fam.  we watched movies and had pizza…i love nights like that.  we watched beverly hills chihuahua, ghost whisperer and last house on the left (once the littles went to bed)…it was such a relaxing night.

kerri and i went saturday and shot our first wedding together…it was a BLAST!!!  we got some seriously awesome pics and i’ve shared some of them on our blog here http://gypsytreephotography.blogspot.com/ go check them out!

sunday we had a nice dinner after church (you KNOW how much i enjoy sunday family dinners) and then we headed to the football field for 4 hours of cheerleading.  it was so so wicked cold there yesterday, i was happy to get in the car and warm up on the way home.

i’m looking forward to next weekend, a long weekend!  and next monday i am planning on spending every single second of it at HOME…can’t wait!

lately…

as most of you know i am a lover of ALL things art…whether it be music, painting, scrapbooking or even handmade jewelry.  i am also always on the lookout for artsy things, beautiful things, inspiring things…and if your a true artist at heart like me, we can see those things around every corner.
as i was on my early sunday morning walk a few weeks back, i was just in awe.  i like to take my camera with me to capture the beauty that i live in.  i just adore those walks and the picutres that are a result of them.
as i was walking and looking around it hit me like a ton of bricks…isn’t God the BEST artist ever!!!  that’s really been on my mind so much since then.  everything He created is perfect in it’s own way.  oh, to be an artist like that.  everything He touches turns out to be pure perfection.  His canvases stretch as far as the eye can see and beyond, so much so that we can even begin to comprehend it.  God has a creative love affair with his art and He knew exactly what he was doing!  when Jesus is in the center of your creative world, life can be in your art…and you can start a new beginning over and over and over again!  how awesome is that?!?!?
as i look around now i seem to see God everywhere…in the beautiful colors of the autumn leaves, in the absolutely perfect tiny feet of babies, in the baby bunny that huddles down in the bush as i walk past…look around today, where ever you are, and appreicate the beauty in every single thing around you!!!
this snail, so tiny and delicate, is such a beautiful representation of the perfectness of  Gods artistic talents…i saw this little guy on my sunday morning walk…
and the sun shining through the trees on a early fall morning…breathtaking…

i have been pouring over this site…and i LOVE it!!!  every picture on it was taken at a walmart store somewhere.  these pictures are all from walmart stores in pa…hard to believe huh…i’m fairly sure i saw this top truck at the pulls last friday.  and what exactly is wrong with this truck, lol…i kinda like it…
