Forever Beloved

saturday i was so excited for us to all head over to state college to the ups store and get my painting mailed off to it’s new little home in LA…so we pulled into the store parking lot…so SO excited to get my painting mailed off (and a little sad to see it go).  i hand it to the girl working and she measures it and writes down all the info (my address and the shipping address)…rings it all up and tells us the price…$65!!!!!  oh yes, you read it correctly…$65!  here is the most awesome part of the story…i only charged $15 shipping.  so yeah, i basically lost money on selling the painting.  lesson learned and i’m fairly sure i will never EVER be using ups again…ever…

after that we were all just bummed…so we headed to texas roadhouse for lunch in hopes it would cheer us up.  um yeah, not happening…their food was seriously suckish…and i didn’t like anything i got.  it was certainly no outback…

after that, still bummed, we headed to get groceries.  now THAT is something i love doing (i know, i’m a freak)…i just love hearing at the end “you saved ______ today”.  and this trip didn’t disappoint…i saved $74 between store sales and my millions of coupons.  LOVE coupons!

we headed home from the grocery store, hurried and put groceries away and did a quick clean sweep of the house.  after the cleaning i went and put my jammies on, turned “halloween” on the tv and just relaxed.  i sent joe out trick or treating with our littles…and i staid home to hand out candy (first time EVER for me).  it all was going great until i realized i was starting to creep myself out watching halloween while i was home alone.  i just kept thinking “please don’t let any of the kids coming to my door be dressed like michael myers”…

sunday we missed church…miss jade still had a big cough going on.  actually she still doesn’t have a voice either, poor thing.  we totally hung out at home ALL day sunday…i wore my jammies all stinkin day long and i loved it.  i needed that after how the day before was.

and once again, in case you missed it before…i’m not so much for ups…at all…

ugh, can’t wait for this week to be over.  i have a sick little girl (fever/sore throat/slight cough/no voice) and i have a sick mother-in-law (swollen feet/ankles/legs)…jade is SO upset that she is sick this week, of all weeks…it’s “red ribbon week” at school which means each day they had a certain dress-up theme…today is pajama day and she was SUPER stoked about it  🙁  poor thing is at home though.  tomorrow is jersey day and she is hoping to make it for that.  i hope she is feeling better by friday, she is so excited to go to a halloween party…

and joe’s mom is experiencing extremely swollen feet/ankles/legs…which is exactly what happened years ago when her kidneys shut down.  we are praying that isn’t the case again.  this poor woman seems to have some health problem every year in the fall, around thanksgiving time.

so if you could, please remember both of them in your prayers.  as much as i don’t buy into the whole “swine flu” hype, i’m still worried about jade. 

i’m off to the warehouse-o-creepy to work today…which i’m totally not sad about.  i love getting out of the office and working by myself for a while.
