disappointing day…02/31…

we had a bit of a disappointing day today…i took joey back to the dr to get his foot re-xrayed and to see what the dr had to say.  well, we were hoping the dr would say the stimulator machine worked and the bone was starting to heal…but it’s not.  it hasn’t started healing a single bit!  so we went ahead and scheduled surgery.  it will be december 22.  they will remove the bone chip and reattach the tendon to his foot (right now it’s attached to the bone chip).  i feel so bad for joey, you never want to see your baby in pain, no matter how old they are.  he’s such a trooper though, trying to put on a brave face.  please keep him in your prayers.
this is my pic of the day for yesterday.  once i dropped joey off at school i spent the rest of the day at home.  and this is what basically my entire day consisted of…laundry!  i for real took this pic yesterday BUT knew i couldn’t upload it from home (we STILL have dialup!!!).  this is basically how my weekend posts will probably go too.

hello there december…01/31…

i’m happy to see you…you are one of my FAV months!  you are happy, festive, sparklie…you hold the birthday of the REAL reason for the season…you’ve given us tons of classic movies…and songs…and for all those reasons i love you…
tonight is exercise class and I.CANT.WAIT.  i know, that is slightly freakish…but it’s such a good sweat/burn…and you feel SO good afterwards!!!  now jade, she’s not as excited as i am.  but she goes and she tries and i have to give her credit for that.
last night jade and i had a conversation that went like this…
jade…”mama, you know amish people?”
me…”yes jade, i know who they are”
jade…”ya know their hats…they remind me of station wagons”
me…while dying laughing…”what?”
jade…”you know, station wagons, like on little house on the prairie”
todays pic of the day is my little desk christmas tree…that i made out of an old book a few years back.  it’s hard to see but there is a little deer that stands in front of it as well.  the pic is kinda crappy, i took it with my blackberry (aka “crap” berry)…

monday blahs…

i think i have them, the monday blahs…the holiday weekend just seemed to fly by so fast  and here we are, back at work. 

we had a fabulous thanksgiving!!!  my friends michelle and jen joined us for lunch.  the food was SO good, i just love cooking thanksgiving dinner!!  after dinner we were able to sit, relax and catch up…which was nice.  i hadn’t seen michelle for probably 2 years or more. 

it was SO nice on friday to have the entire fam home, the house was clean, nothing pressing to do…just hang out and watch tv.  an all day marathon of “say yes to the dress” to be exact.  i was up early, around 6 am, and watched about 5 straight hours of that show.  and I LOVED IT!  i don’t know why i’ve never watched it before.  later on in the afternoon then joey’s friend gabe came and stayed the night…so we ordered pizza.  they stayed up well into the night playing ps2. 

saturday morning joe got called out at 5am to plow for a few hours…he was SO happy about that.  i’m not so sure i’d be as happy if i got called in to work at 5 am on a saturday.  in the afternoon we took gabe home and then went on to altoona.  i had some jeans to exchange AND we went to dinner at outback!!!  you KNOW that’s my most fav place EVER!

so tomorrow is the first day of december…my kids already have the countdown to christmas going on.  and i’ve decided for december i’m going to TRY to post every single day on the little blog here…and try to do a pic a day.  try being the key word…
