Day 7 – The person who has had the biggest impact on your life

this would deffo be my parents, both of them…
my sweet mama, the definition of a strong Christian woman…she has taught me so much over the years, i don’t even know where to start…she taught me to put God first, always…she taught me strength and was an amazing example of that during her cancer battle years ago…she taught me unselfish, unfaltering love…she has taught me what kind of mother i want to be, that i strive to be, on a daily basis…she has taught me how to be a devoted, caring wife…she taught me to can, although i’m sure there was a day she was sure i’d never even care to learn that…i could go on for days about what a huge impact she has had on my life…
my dad, where to even start…he taught me every.single.thing. you would teach a boy…he will never know how much i appreciated that…i never will have to rely on a man to change my oil or a flat tire, i can put shingles on a house, new guts + seal on a toilet and a new floor on my porch…i can plant a garden and drive a tractor…he always said “dirt washes off” and i’ve never been one of those girls afraid of getting right in there and getting dirty…
i am so thankful for both my parents and blessed to have them both in my life…love you both!!!

Day 6 – 5 songs that represent your life’s soundtrack

hmmmm…i would have to say:

1…Somewhere out there by Linda Ronstadt + James Ingram…when i was growing up this song always made me think of my birth parents (before i found them)…
2…one day at a time by Cristy Lane…every single time i hear this song i think of my moms battle with breast cancer and i remember that is how we got through it each time, one day at a time…
3…i was country when country wasn’t cool by Barbara Mandrell…pretty much explains itself…
4…find you waiting by decemberadio…soooo comforting knowing that even when i wasn’t walking with the Lord he was always there waiting for me…
5…i won’t need you anymore by Randy Travis…this is the song my husband sang to me when we were dating…and it was during that song that we both knew we wanted to spend our lives together
