happy sunday ya’all

i’m totally going to spend my day in my pajamas, snuggling my pup, soaking up every minute with my fam, eating some good (non-hospital) food, visiting with papa, browsing pinterest and just basically enjoying every  single second of being home ♥

happy + blessed

once again, God has showered me with his amazing grace and love.  i’ve pulled through yet another long, serious surgery.  i’m so thankful that He has a beautiful, perfect plan for my life.  and now it’s up to me to make sure i’m fulfilling it.

i am so blessed to have the most amazing husband, parents, children, church family and friends.  i love you ALL.  thank you so much for everything!!  seriously  ya’all, so many times over the past week i’ve sat with tears hanging in my eyes overwhelmed with the outpouring of love from everyone.  i feel like the most blessed girl ever  🙂

trash talkin’

not so long ago i was that girl.  you know, that trash talking girl who would talk about her husband without any problem.  it’s his fault right, he made me mad and he deserves it.  if he didn’t want me to talk about him then he should’t have done what he did.

once the Lord started doing His glorious work in our marriage He also started working in my heart.  i realized that when i would talk to others about our problems that i would then bring their opinions into our marriage, which just made our marriage worse.  once i stopped talking about my husband and our problems to others, our marriage improved greatly.

we need to remember that we all have our strengths and weaknesses.  guard your husband’s weaknesses; don’t announce them to the world.  i definitely have weaknesses.  i would be mortified and humiliated if my husband teased about it or loudly wished for someone with that strength.  remember the “golden rule”…Do to others as you would have them do to you Luke 6:31.

our husbands need our respect.  what a great way to respect them by not trash talking them.

Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:33
