hellooooooooooo

well here i am, back after a long week away from blogging. i had a week filled with sick kids, sick mommy and a weekend camping trip for the whole family, including daddy!!!

the kids started getting sick the day before school started. it was joey first, with a temp and a chest virus. you know everything gets labeled a virus these days, ugh, so totally irritates me. they went to school wednesday then that evening jade got sick and got a temp. she was home thursday and friday with me. her temp actually hit 104 at one point. of course, hers is also labeled a virus. and friday i woke up and could tell i was starting to get it. and yes, i still have it. the dr is calling in some meds for me though, guess mine isn’t a virus? ugh…dr’s

and the camping trip…oh what fun we had!!! we went to prince gallitzen state park and had a blast! i have tons of pics but haven’t had a chance to upload any yet. we ate too much, talked a ton, joey rode his bike till he got blisters on his hands, jade swam and swang, we went on walks, sat on the dock, took pics and froze to death sleeping in the tent. we had such a good time together as a family and i think we ALL realized that it’s what we want. not that there was ever really a question, it just reconfirmed it for us all. joe said it WAY exceeded his expectations of the weekend and he has a great time.

i will post some pics and layouts later today or tomorrow so be on the lookout!

lovelies

happy monday my lovelies!!! i hope everyone had a great weekend. ours was full of total fam stuff, hanging out with the kids and joe, canning beets, a cool pep rally and some scrappin 🙂 such fun times!

yesterday i decided i wanted to create BUT i also wanted to be outside enjoying the day. so i packed up some scrappy goodness, packed up some bikes and barbies and took the kids out to my dads farm and drove back in to a clearing spot we have that is just kinda cool. the kids can ride bikes and i dont have to worry about them. i scrapped while we were and let me tell you HOW cool it is to scrap outside!!!! i was toooootally inspired. i worked on the dare 73 layout – do a layout without using any scrap supplies. the only downfall was i think i might have stamped with poison ivy…although no big since my hands didn’t break out 🙂

and i am totally getting so excited for next weekend…our big family camping trip!!! joe is going with us, which excited me more to spend a whole weekend with him. we are going to prince gallitzen state park..two nights in a tent..fishing during the day..camp fire cooking..reading..maybe scrapping..total fam time. i can’t wait!!! although i still have not “made one” with the bugs, ugh. i will have to make some type of arrangement with them – as long as they arn’t on me then i wont kill them.

so i seriously think this blog is in need of some color or excitement of some type. i tried this morning to add a background but i am seriously html stupid. and by the time i’m done changing it i’m usually sweating and mad. it’s just so blah now that i changed the template. but if you know me you know i can’t leave anything alone for long, i always need to change things up.

so, it’s canning season again. which means weekends filled with jars, pots on the stove and me making one with my kitchen sink. i will spend countless hours there in the next few weeks. this weekend is beets and then we are on to spaghetti sauce. might be challenging this year as i’m use to joe kinda entertaining the kids for me but i’m always up for a good challenge!

so things on the homefront are going well, very well. it’s baby steps in the right direction. patience and perseverance like i told you before, i have more of that than i’ve ever had before. and at this point i’m actually able to give other people advice and know afterwards that i gave them the right advice. it’s amazing that through the amazing help we’ve had from above so many blessings have come from this. both of my children have been saved in the last 5 weeks. and i find so much comfort in knowing i’m not in this alone, i have someone i can go to at any time of the day who will lend a listening ear and hear my prayers. and wow, prayer is such a powerful thing isn’t it? our God is an awesome God!!!
