Forever Beloved

Faith, Love & Truth

Happy Birthday TO ME!

I totally am in LOVE with my camera I got for my birthday. It’s a Canon Powershot S2….LOVES IT!!!! My family is a little worn out with me playing with it, lol, but hey..I have to figure all the bells and whistles out right? I love the quality of pictures it takes, the color is amazing. I think I need to take everyone out in a nice nature setting and take some portraits to really see how it does. But I might have to wait until I get my tripod for that one.

I love the innocence of children. Yesterday we were driving to Clearfield and Jade said “Look, someone is putting all those rocks in the river

and making the river stop”. Joe explained to her that we need rain and the water is low. She then said “Yes we do need rain, all the water is leaving the river”. That sure is a scrapbook moment!

I am so excited for Fall, I can’t hardly wait much longer to put out my decorations. I love burning candles, breathing the crisp autumn air, driving when the leaves are falling off the trees, canning season, craft shows, pumpkin patches and of course the Harmony Grange Fair.

Who IS this freak?

I have never felt so insulted or so angered as when I read a recent article on this man. His show “Shalom in the Home” recently went to a PA couples house. He was to try to help them rekindle thier marriage. Read the article here:http://www.beliefnet.com/story/194/story_19451_2.htmlFirst of all it was OBVIOUSLY written (and stated) by a man. A poorly educated man at that. What would ever EVER make someone think that breastfeeding your babies can be compared to an affair? Or that by breastfeeding you baby you are commiting the “cardinal sin” of marriage by neglecting your husband and putting someone else before him. You mean we are to put others BEFORE our children? In my life my children are my world and are THE most important thing to me. As a former breastfeeder I am totally offended and appaled by this man and his way of thinking. It is people like him that breed prejudice against breastfeeders. I’ve been laughed at, told off, scorned and scoffed at, looked down upon and been made a spectacle of. And it is exactly THIS TYPE of thinking, the absurd small-minded thinking this man displays that creates prejudice.

Let It

Isn’t that just the cutest pic of the kids? I totally love it! I would have to say it might be my favorite of all time. I took it when Joey was @ 4 and Jade was @ 2, the little attitude showing on her face just makes me laugh.

I did this layout for two challenges, the first challenge was out of Elsie’s book, 52 Challenges. It was to use journaling strips. The second challenge was to have every member of my family contribute to my layout. My daughter picked out the flower, my son picked out what to use for the title and my husband wrote the poem. I totally love how it turned out and I love that it was a combined family effort.
