hey my peoples…long week no talk! i’ve had yet another week filled with football, homework and rushing. but it’s friday…woohoo…and my rushing is over (for a few days at least)

and tonight….DATE NIGHT at the truck pulls. hello…does it get better than that? a hot man beside me, sweet trucks all around me and fair food. that might be too much for me to handle. for those of you that wern’t here last year i’m going to post some refresher pics…and to psych myself up more (as if i need it).

ooohhhh big blower out the hood…perfect!!!!in other news i found a supa cool challenge blog this week and the girls that have wicked mad talent! it is scrap faith – scrapping your beliefs. such a cool blog!!! the first challenge was scrap your religious roots. here is my take on it ~also the lss over at the effers starts today…woot woot…can’t wait to get my scrap on with that one. looooove the inspiration there, always tons of eye candy.homefront update ~ things are going good, for real. its slow but sure…patience and perseverance are helping us win this race. it has now been two months and let me tell you, honestly, i would not have wanted this any other way. through this trial He has provided blessing after blessing to us. we are both walking side by side toward the same common goal. i am keeping in my mind that it will happen in His time, not my time. boy, patience is hard for me. i am soooo not a patient person, but that is a life lesson i’m taking from this. also, my husband is now my best friend. we seriously talk nearly all day everyday. and it really warms my heart. we have challenges (like people gossiping about us) but i’m not worrying about it or stressing, just giving it all to the Him.out for now~kisses

and in other news joe got the job, thanks for all your prayers! it really was an answer to years of prayers, going back 7 – 8 years i bet. a serious life lesson in the Lord does his will in HIS time, not ours. something i’m still learning day by day. he should start work in 2 – 4 weeks. now it is a full-time temporary position (only lasting till april) BUT it is the only way to get your foot in the door for the state. and Lord willing he will someday get on permanant.and…..drum roll please… mama got her scrap on this weekend and guess what…..i’m back!!! i can feel the mojo running through my veins as we speak. oh how i have missed the late nights of scrapping into the wee hours of the morning. it soooo sooths my soul for real. and it makes joe happy that i’m back at it. this opaat kit really sparked some serious inspiration in me. here are some other layouts from the weekend.
this week is full of absolute excitement too. friday night is the truck pulls….oh heck yes! big fat date night at the truck pulls and i can’t WAIT! oh man, we wait all year for these. some year mama is gonna pull in these…someday before i die i will.

jade starts dance class this saturday which is almost screaming excitement in my house. this girl was born to dance, for real. we just watched a tape the other night of her dancing when she was 2 and holy cow, was she just born with the ability to shake her booty. we died laughing while watching it but geesh, she really could dance even back then.

we are still in the full swing of football season…wish i actually understood the game and what was going on out on the field. it’s sad when your 10 year old knows more than you do. i think i might be learning a little, i’m just slow. but they, at least it’s a good photo opp every week!

lots of goodness going on at my house right now…first of all it’s fall and there is a crispness to the air. that totally makes me happy 🙂 and those of you that know me know what fall means….oh yes, the harmony truck pulls. woot woot…only two more weeks till them. joe and i already have a date night set up for that night. loooooove date nights, i love reconnecting with that guy.

speaking of joe, he has an interview tomorrow morning at some place we’ve been hoping for him to get in to. so please, say a prayer for him…for us. it would be a total blessing if he got this job.

this is a altered hardbound book made into a ring binder album and it was totally inspired by one tia benentt made. it is a journal i am going to use to document my life right now. i am seperated from my husband of 11 years and, through faith, we are working on our marriage. at times though i feel i need to get feelings and emotions out and i want to use this journal/art journal as a creative outlet. i chose neutrals accented with red. neutral colors ground me and they feel so organic to me. the red symbolizes (and makes me feel) energy, strength and love. these pics are of the front cover, inside cover, first page and inside journaling page. i took a hardbound book, carefully removed the pages from the spine and added a ring binder to the inside. i used the pages inside as the pages of the journal. i will update more tomorrow…i keep meaning to get some football pics on here geesh
