SO who’s ready to party?!?!?!

it’s coming up girls….feb 4th starts the block party here on my blog!!! are ya’all excited? i totally am and let me tell you…you DONT want to miss this!

also…there is some serious cropness going on at tallyscrapper this weekend. i think ya’all should come on over there and play! serious challenges…serious prizes…serious FUN! so i fully expect to see ya ‘all there!

misc ramblings

so the weekend was awesome…and much needed might i add! work has just been…grrr…stressful to say the least!
saturday mom and i took jade to altoona for a “girls day out” which included MUCH shopping and some food. let me tell you girls, my mom can WAY out shop me by far! we went non-stop from around 10 till 6 and she still could have shopped more. my feet were killing me by that time and i was just worn out. and she proceeded to give me the “mom lecture” of how i dont wear the correct type of shoes for shopping and she needs to train me some more, lol. she’s such a good mama!
the boys had a GREAT time on their day filled with tons of testosterone (sp?)…and little mr. joey is now the proud owner of a 30/30 with a scope. he loves that he is old enough to own his own gun (ALWAYS must be supervised) and his dad just LOVES that his son is old enough (and interested) in hunting. but right now more than hunting joey wants to join the 4-H shooting club. he is crazy excited!
i did a few more pages in my art journal…i am just loving how it’s turning out!

the tutor comes tonight for jade. i’m so excited to be able to provide my daughter with the extra help she needs! there was a time when this wouldn’t have been an option. but my children are worth it, they are totally worth ANY expense!

TGIF!!!

i am soooo glad today is friday, gosh…you dont even know how ready i am for the weekend. work has been stressful lately and when the weekends come i am one happy girlie!! and i’m excited because i should have some happy scrappies coming in my mail this weekend. i just love happy mail!
i think joe is taking joey tomorrow to some type of gun show (total boys day) and some type of thing about shooting ranges. sounds like jade and i will have a girls day! i should get thinking of what we could do for our girls day. she has been pretty much begging for one of these days lately, so glad to finally give her one!
so no post is complete without some layout lovins ~

can you tell i’m having a complete love obsession with bright colors lately? bright, fun, wild, wacky colors….and i can’t get enough of them.

joey had to write a report for class with the theme “my family is important to me because” and bless his heart, he rocked that report. it was the sweetest thing…and i totally saved it to scrap at some point. he also (bragging here) got a 99 on the report!!!

and miss jade is learning cursive! and let me tell you, can she ever write cursive. i was in shock and told her how proud i was of her, wow…i think maybe because cursive is more “artsy” but wow…this weekend i will scan some of it and post it for you.
