so yard sale season is once again upon us, i loooooove this time of year! sadly, i don’t have much time to go to yard sales. seems by the time i get to the sales on saturday all the good stuff has already went (on friday)…so i’m asking for the help of my fav people ever, my faithful blog readers!
there are a few specific things i’m looking for this year…maybe you have some of these items sitting around your basement or attic…if you, or someone you know, can help me out just shoot me an email at cutcutler1903@aol.com and we’ll figure out the specifics (although i prefer cheap be one of them, lol)…
* vintage suitcases
* knitted baby blankets, hats and booties…actually any cool knitted blankets
* large wooden bowl
* wooden crate
* wicker chair

i made this cake today and oohhhh my goodness is it ever YUMMY! i figured it would be since it’s a paula deen recipe…and ya’all know how much i adore her…you have GOT to try this!!
caramel apple cake with caramel topping
Cake
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 1/2 cups diced apples (canned or fresh)
Topping
3/4 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
Directions
Lightly grease and flour 13 x 9-inch baking dish; Preheat oven to 350°F Cream together sugar, eggs, and oil; Add flour; mix together until well blended; Add vanilla, nuts, and diced apples.
Spread into pan; bake for 45 to 60 minutes; Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
When cake is done, punch holes in it with a knife and pour topping over.
Topping: Heat all ingredients together over medium heat; Bring to boil, stirring constantly; Let boil for about 2 minutes; Pour over warm cake.
