Today I’m thankful for a girls day with my best. Sweat pants, movies, talking, yummy food, talking, more yummy food, laughing, talking, eating till we’re sick and more talking. Yep, that’s basically how our days go. And I love every single thing about it. So so super thankful for it, it’s sooooo needed!
thankful…19/30
I found this little gem on instagram last night. And yes, there were mama tears. So today I am thankful for the love my two littles have for each other. When they were smaller, I never thought I would say that. The fights, oh the fight. And I’m not talking little tiny ones, oh no. I’m talking knock-down, drag-out fist fights. If I am being honest, most of them were started by Miss Jade. And most of them looked like the one below.
Despite their tendency to drive me completely crazy sometimes, they are two of the most incredible little people I have ever known. They can make each other laugh ridiculous amounts daily {which normally equals me dying laughing as well}. They always have each others back and aren’t afraid to voice it. Perfect example was Jade’s bullying issue last year, her brother tended to that right quickly.
I.Like.Giving.
So if y’all have been around my blog for any amount of time, you know I have a heart for adoption. It is so so so important to me. I think it’s such an amazing blessing! Today, I found out about another thing that is amazing…
ILikeGiving.com has just launched with the goal to inspire intentional generosity. Part of their mission is to create short films that showcase the unique ways people give. They’ve created a short film about the Dennehy family from Virginia. This Christian family has twelve children, some of them adopted, some of them with special needs, and as a family friend says, “they look a mini United Nations!”.
One of the Dennehy’s kids recognizes he would have been left for dead—an armless, tiny orphan in Romania where defects are considered a sign of evil—if the Dennehys had not given him the gift of life. And now this boy gives people all over the world the gift of music. He plays the piano and the guitar with his feet y’all! I know, how amazing is that. It’s absolutely incredible and inspiring.
I love what this organization stands for. I love the message it is spreading. And I wanted to share it with y’all 🙂 So it could brighten your day the same way it brightened mine!
