Forever Beloved

Faith, Love & Truth

thankful…22/30

Today I am super thankful that this girl is having a bit of a better time walking.  She has arthritis in her joints/hips and this past week it was getting to the point of being pitiful.  I bought her some new arthritis meds and they seem to be working  🙂  YAY!  In fact, as I type this she is off for a trot in the field.

When you’re an absolute animal lover, aging animals is the worst.  These guys are like my kids.  And during the day when I’m the only one home, we have lots of conversations.  I may or may not even pause to let them answer me.  So super yay that big black is feeling better.

thankful…21/30

Today I am extremely thankful for the friends in both my kids lives.  I cannot even tell you how much it means to me that they both have such amazing Christian friends.  It’s so important to have friends that have the same morals and values as you, that you can talk about anything with and that you can lean on each other and support each other.  God sure has given my kids some great ones!

Seeking Christmas {Book Review}

Seeking Christmas
Finding the True Meaning Through Family Traditions
By Renee Robinson

The book description:

Is the message of Christmas lost in the commercialization and hectic pace? Can we celebrate with intentional purpose? Using devotions and activities, Seeking Christmas gives your family an experience to pass down for generations to come.

This book is a devotional for the entire family, not just adults.  It might be a short book but it’s full of a super message.  It’s a great start for a Christ centered Christmas.

The book is based on a seven day period. Each day includes an entry that invites you to remember, read, reflect, rejoice and research. Each day is centered around a specific Biblical section concerning Christ’s birth. Each day’s “devotion” is short and simple.
I loved that there was a section for you to read aloud, a “reflect” section that is broken down by the ages of your littles and the research section I LOVED!
This book is such a wonderful way to begin a Christ based Christmas tradition.  It’s a great place to start.  If you’re trying to figure out how to teach your family to focus more on Christ during Christmas time and you don’t even know where to start, this book will help.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookCrash.com book review program, which requires an honest, though not necessarily positive, review. The opinions i have expressed are my own.
