50 More Writing Prompts For Your Blog

Last month I wrote a post with 50 writing prompts for your blog.  I have loved reading back over them and find it stirring up some creativity in myself, so I thought why not share 50 more!

If you’re currently having trouble coming up with ideas for your next blog post, have no fear: I’ve compiled a list of 50 possible prompts to use.  Writing prompts are a great way to get your creativity flowing!

  1.  Define what your blog stands for.  Create a manifesto!
  2.  Share how living as a Christian has changed your life
  3.  Write about what you’re reading right now and why
  4.  List 10 things your grateful for
  5.  Write about a time in your life when you’ve felt closest to God
  6.  Write a letter of forgiveness
  7.  Write a love letter to your body. (I did that here)
  8.  Write about a time where God showed up unexpectedly in your life
  9.  What songs would be included in the soundtrack of your life
  10.  Recap your day, week, month or year in only pictures
  11.  Write about three ways you want God to transform you
  12.  Write your favorite scripture in prayer
  13.  Write about what moves you
  14.  If you could switch lives with one person, who would it be and why
  15.  Create a mood board and share it
  16.  Share your style
  17.  Write about something you can’t live without
  18.  Make a list of 30 things that make you smile
  19.  Create freebies (wallpaper, printables, etc.) to share on your blog
  20.  Using 10 words, describe yourself
  21.  Write about what you would say to someone that doesn’t believe in Jesus
  22.  Write about your favorite holiday and share why it’s your favorite
  23.  Share your biggest fear
  24.  Share what you would do if you had one day when I could do anything at all
  25.  What has Jesus helped you learn from your biggest mistakes
  26.  Share your favorite hymn, why it’s your favorite and what it means to you
  27.  Share something you wish more people knew or believed
  28.  Do a “12 Days of Christmas” series leading up to Christmas Day, each day sharing something about the season (family recipe, traditions, beliefs, etc.)
  29.  Write about a strong emotion and think of two memories associated with it
  30.  Record a vlog and share it on your blog
  31.  Share the must haves that are always in your bag
  32.  Write about what unconditional love look like for you
  33.  Have you ever gotten angry at God?  Write about it and how He helped you resolve it
  34.  Share why you chose your blog name
  35.  Write about something you’re eager for God to do in your life
  36.  Give your favorite bloggers a shout-out and share why they are your favorites
  37.  Write about what character in the Bible has influenced your life the most
  38.  Share how you stay inspired
  39.  Share your current relationship status and how God has given you grace during it
  40.  Share what you would say if you could give one piece of advice to a large group of people
  41.  Share a struggle you are currently going through, and what advice would you give others going through the same thing
  42.  Give your readers a tour of your city!  Share some of the hot-spots and hidden gems of where you live
  43.  Write about what you do when you feel overwhelmed (I did that here)
  44.  Share any tips and tricks a new blogger should know
  45.  Share a great DIY with pictures and in-depth instructions
  46.  Create a list (random acts of kindness, what makes you smile today, summer wish-list, bucket list, etc.)
  47.  Share your thoughts on a current event in the news or pop culture (but be prepared for those who disagree to voice their opinion)
  48.  Describe the most beautiful place you’ve ever been.  Make your readers want to visit there too
  49.  Write your own list of 10 blog topics to inspire us
  50.  Write the words you need to hear

50 Writing Prompts For Your Blog

Blogging is tough work y’all.  At times, it’s not the actual writing that gets difficult; instead, you’ll find yourself stuck figuring out what you even want to say.  We all hit dry periods in our writing.  Even seasoned bloggers can have days, or even weeks, when the ideas won’t come and the words won’t flow.  When that happens, it can help to write through it.

But what are you going to write?

If you’re currently having trouble coming up with ideas for your next blog post, have no fear: I’ve compiled a list of 50 possible prompts to use.  Writing prompts are a great way to get your creativity flowing!
