Blogvember Day One | Introduce Yourself

Oh my lanta, today is the day!  I’m so excited to have y’all here joining me for The Blogvember Challenge!!  Today the challenge kicks off and the train keeps on truckin’ through to the end of the month. I am SO excited that you’re here, and I can’t wait to get to know you all better by the end of this.

November 1 – Introduce yourself however you’d like.

Well hello there y’all, I’m Amy.  I’m the girl behind the blog here at Forever Beloved.  I started my blog on July 19, 2006, so thirteen years ago!  It was started as an outlet, a way to share my scrapbook pages and a way to keep in touch with family. But then something happened. As time went on, more and more people started reading.  Forever Beloved is a happy, positive place. A place where you know, even on your worst day, you can leave it with a smile on your face and feel refreshed. A place where the heart of Jesus shines through.  I share my heart on this blog. I write to inspire others and make them smile; to share hope, grace and truth; to share my own mistakes and sins; to share my heart; and to share Jesus and His amazing love with others around the world.

I’m a small-town country girl, born and raised.  I’m a wife of 23 years to the most amazing man ever, my husband Joe.  I’m a Mama to two beautiful adult littles, Joey and Jade.  And this year we gained a precious daughter-in-love, Bekah.  We also have one dog, two cats and too many chickens to count (including one sassy house chicken).

I have a strong desire to live off the land and am blessed with the small homestead we’ve built.  Late summer and fall I can be found in my kitchen, canning everything I can get my hands on.  I love to create meals from scratch and my house usually smells of homemade bread.

As a child I was I am enamored with old photos. So much so that it sparked this insatiable craving to take pictures of people. I spent ten years following my passion and owning a photography business.  To me, pictures are a priceless treasures. They allow you, if only for a second, to travel back in time.  I was so blessed to hold that job, and capture precious memories for so many families.  I retired from my business this past May.

Now for the extra interesting parts: I am a daughter of The King and God has changed me and mended me in ways that words can’t even begin to describe.  I was adopted at three days old by the most amazing parents.  At 20 years old I found my birth-mother and my three little brothers.  I married my husband after only knowing and dating him for four months and it was the craziest, best decision I’ve ever made.  I am a hopeless romantic.  Music is a huge part of my life, and it has been since I was little.  Some of my favorite memories are sitting at my piano, playing an old hymn and harmonizing with my Dad.  Music also played a key part in my love story.  I prefer going barefoot over wearing shoes and I absolutely hate socks.  I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m a Type-A, listing making, notebook keeping, people pleasing kind of girl.  I have a huge desire to make a good impression, be liked and be accepted.  I want the parties I throw, the relationships and friendships I have and anything I touch to all run perfectly perfect.  I hate spiders and think they are completely unnecessary.  Laughing happens a lot in my life, it’s one of my favorite things!  I speak fluently in movie quotes and song lyrics.

The Blogvember Challenge

Blogging is tough work y’all.  At times, it’s not the actual writing that gets difficult; instead, you’ll find yourself stuck figuring out what you even want to say.  We all hit dry periods in our writing.  Even seasoned bloggers can have days, weeks, or even months when the ideas won’t come and the words won’t flow.  When that happens, it can help to write through it.

But what are you going to write?

Fret no more, friends! Your days of struggling to come up with topics are over! At least for a month. I’ve participated in challenges like this in the past and I absolutely loved them!  So I thought why not just host one here.  And with that, I am so excited to introduce The Blogvember Challenge!

The Blogvember Challenge is a daily link up that will begin November 1st right here on my blog.  Below is a list of one prompt for every day of November.  Y’all, I already did all the hard work for you!  Each day you will be able to link up with everyone participating.  If you’re like me, writing ahead of time and scheduling blog posts makes my life so much easier so I wanted to share these ahead of time.  You can write whenever you’d like!

Consider this your official invitation!!  Will you join me for the #blogvemberchallenge?  The idea of posting every day for an entire month may seem intimidating at first, but with a little prep it will be totally manageable!

There really are no rules to this.  Feel free to follow one of the prompts, all of the prompts, or none of them. The main goal is to get us all writing together.  And along the way make new friends and learn more about our favorite bloggers!
