Wisdom: I don’t care how old you are, get a mammogram! It saved my life, it caught cancer early! At 35, I wasn’t suppose to have a mammogram this early, but my Dr. pushed it for no other reason than to have a baseline for which to compare at 40. Just FYI – 80% of breast cancer is not hereditary girls! It doesn’t run in my family, yet I have it. I did my breast self-exams every month – never felt a thing! BUT a mammogram found a 3mm cancer!

As part of our ladies day on Saturday we had someone come and talk about breast cancer…she said that getting a mammogram will save your life because it can detect a lump long before we would beable to feel it…she showed us the size of a lump a Mammogram can find and the size it would be before we would feel it and it was scary!!!

Those are definitely “great words of Wisdom”. It is amazing how many women under the age of 40, heck even 30 are being diagnosed w/breast cancer and the doctors still only recommend mammogram’s at your “40th” check-up.
I too wish her the best and pray that she fights this w/all her being.
